BR Optics
The first VCM lens to feature Blue Spectrum Refractive (BR) optics, the RF20mm f/1.4L VCM expertly controls blue light refraction, minimising chromatic aberration for exceptional image clarity—even at its widest aperture.
For exceptional visual clarity, the RF20mm f/1.4L VCM utilises two glass-molded (GMo) aspherical lenses that help reduce spherical aberrations and keep image distortion to a minimum.
Using one Super UD (Ultra-Low Dispersion) lens and two UD lens elements with low refraction and low dispersion, colour aberrations are effectively minimised for better image quality.
Air Sphere Coating (ASC) with anti-reflection technology suppresses ghosting and reduces flare for clear and high contrast images even when shooting backlit subjects.
Subwavelength Structure Coating (SWC) features a layer of nanometer-sized patterns on the lens surface to control reflections for better image clarity and sharpness.
