Canon ID FAQ – for Canon Singapore Official eShop

What is Canon ID?

With Canon ID, you can access multiple Canon websites and services, including connectivity features for Canon cameras and inkjet printers. 

 

I already have an existing Canon Singapore official eShop account; how can I create a Canon ID account?

1. For existing Canon Singapore eShop account holder, you can create a Canon ID account simply by resetting your e-shop account password. via Sign in at Canon Singapore  eShop.
   

2. Click on “Sign in with your email”
   
3. Click on “Need a new password”
   

4. Enter your account email and click on “Reset password”
   
5. A password reset link will be sent to your email.
   A password reset link from Canon ID (no-reply@idm.myid.canon) will be sent to your registered email. If you do not receive the email, please check your junk or spam mail folders or ensure correct email is entered for the password reset.
   
   
6. Click on “Reset password” in your received email and complete your Canon ID account creation process.
   
7. Choose a new password and click on “Upgrade”.
   
8. Click “Continue” to complete your Canon ID account creation.
   
9. You will be redirected back to the Canon Singapore eShop page.
   

 

I already have an existing Canon Singapore eShop account and Canon ID account, what should I do?

If you have an existing Canon Singapore eShop account and Canon ID account, you only need to activate your Canon ID account to access multiple Canon websites and services.

I already have an existing Canon ID account but not Canon Singapore eShop account, what should I do?

If you have an existing Canon ID account, to access your Canon Singapore e-shop account via Canon ID, you will need to activate your Canon ID account.

I am a new user of Canon Singapore official eShop, how can I create a Canon ID account?

For new users, you can create your Canon ID account via Login at Canon SG official eShop page.

 

I do not remember my Canon ID password, what should I do?

You can reset your password by using the password reset form.

 

I am expecting an email from Canon ID but cannot find it in my Inbox, what should I do?

All our emails are sent from an unmonitored mailbox (no-reply@idm.myid.canon) and might have arrived in your Junk/Spam folder. Please check your Junk/Spam folder and if this is the case, kindly move the email to your Inbox to prevent the issue from happening again.

If you are still unable to see the email, please repeat the above steps by adding no-reply@idm.myid.canon to your safe senders list and ensure the correct email address is entered.

 

I have a new email address, how can I update my Canon ID account?

You can update your email address on your Canon ID account page. You will need to verify the new email address before the change takes effect.

 

I registered my Canon ID with a social network service I no longer have access to, what should I do?

Please refer to your social network service provider on how to reset their service/account for you. If you are unable to access the social network service you had signed up with, you will have to setup a new Canon ID with a new email/social network account.

 

Are mobile phone number and/or date of birth compulsory fields?

This information is optional and you can create your Canon ID account without providing it.

You can manage your particulars such as email, password, mobile number and date of birth in your Canon ID account page.

 

I don't need a Canon ID account anymore, how can I delete it?

You can delete your Canon ID account on your Canon ID account page.

If you delete your account, you will lose access to all the Canon services you have used, as well as content you have uploaded to Canon storage and sharing services, if you have used them. You cannot reverse this action.

 

Can I subscribe to receive e-newsletter on latest news and offers from Canon?

Yes, you can subscribe by clicking “Yes” under “Stay in touch with Canon” when you create a new Canon ID account.

 

Alternatively, you can subscribe by clicking “Yes” under “Communication preferences” under your created Canon ID account.
