The RF85mm f/2 Macro IS STM is equipped with a built-in Optical Image Stabilizer (IS), which processes information from in-lens gyro and acceleration sensors to offer up to 5 shutter speed stops’ image stabilisation. Attached to EOS R5, an effect of up to 8 shutter speed stops’ equivalent can be achieved, letting you get bolder with your handheld, low-light creativity.
The wide maximum aperture of f/2, together with the nine-blade circular aperture and medium telephoto focal length combine to achieve beautiful, creamy background bokeh that makes your subjects stand out from the background.
The 0.5x maximum magnification, achievable a minimum focusing distance of 0.35m, means that you can capture subjects as close as approximately 21cm from the front of the lens
